The deal in plain English. If anything here is unclear, ask me before you go ahead.

The preview

The preview is free. I build it from your current website (its words, photos and details) or from what you tell me. It is private and hidden from search engines. If you don’t want it, I delete it and you owe nothing.

Price

The site costs £995. If you join the portfolio, it costs £495 instead, in return for a testimonial and permission to show your site. The portfolio price ends once five sites are in the portfolio.

I’m not registered for VAT, so no VAT is added to any price.

What’s included

• Up to 5 pages, built for phones first
• Your words rewritten
• Local search setup
• A contact form and a draft privacy notice
• Going live, including setting up your domain

Not included: an online shop, a booking system, logo design, photography or paid advertising.

Changes

Three rounds of changes on the preview are included. After that, further rounds need a £100 deposit, which comes off the price when the site goes live. The deposit pays for the extra rounds of changes, so it isn’t refunded if you then decide not to go live.

Paying and going live

You pay nothing until you approve the final preview. Then I send an invoice for the price, less any deposit. You pay by card or bank transfer through the link on the invoice.

Once it’s paid, I put your site live within 2 working days. I set up your domain so the new site appears on it. Only the website records change, and I test your email before and after. If your domain needs a change only you can make, I’ll tell you exactly what to do.

Ownership

You own your domain and your site.

Care plan

The care plan is optional and costs £39 a month, paid monthly in advance by card. It covers hosting, small edits done within 48 hours, and a monthly check that everything works.

Small updates such as wording, photos, prices and opening hours are unlimited within fair use. Up to 3 larger changes a month are included, such as a new section. A new page or a redesign is quoted first.

Hosting is part of the care plan. If you’d rather not have the plan, I hand the site over when it goes live and help you move it to hosting in your name. Edits after that are charged one-off.

Cancelling

You can cancel the care plan any time. It stops at the end of the month you’ve paid for, and there’s no refund for part of a month. When you cancel, I hand the site over and help you move it to hosting in your name.
